Our Roots

B.W.O.T. ministry is a missionary training for youth. As a ministry we understand that the great commission is composed of children, teens, young adults and older adults. In other words, we all play a fundamental role in evangelization and in the discipleship of all peoples. For this reason BWOT promotes this training school; differing between faith in Christ Jesus and religion. We believe that God’s strategy is the Church, and we seek to encourage young people who want to be part of the response to nations; we want to seek a deeper relationship with God to understand God’s voice and execute his order to make disciples.

We train and promote the urgency of working as a united community among youth, being able to affect the world with an attitude of cooperation and faith. After the youth accepts God’s call to local missions, BWOT wants to guide youth to serve in the community; and in doing so, the youth will become powerful tools of blessing and transformation for today’s world. BWOT is a mission of God.

What is BWOT?

It is a training aimed at awakening a missionary spirit in the lives of the participants.

It is an intensive 15 to 26 hours of missionary orientation and training. (depending on the country)

It contains an orientation segment called “Team Building.” Team Building is the tool we use to teach the importance of global missions unity, missionary trips, and short-term missionary teams. The focus of this program within BWOT is to build a team and train them to work together.

It is a ministry that encourages intensive intercession time within training. We teach participants to value their time of intimacy with God. We believe in the importance of prayer, in the theology of prayer, and in the practice of prayer. We teach them to be on their knees early morning, to know the needs of nations and their people.

Our trainings are given by retired missionaries – teachers of intercultural studies or field missionaries and pastors who have a clear vision about missionary challenges and their great opportunities. BWOT leaders and coordinators also have teaching opportunities. In regards to training, we are interested in life teachings rather than simple knowledge; however, we recognize and value the importance of informational, theological, and theoretical learning about truth and the missionary world.

During BWOT training, students from different countries and congregations co-habitat together for a week.

Students will dorm with someone they do not know. No person is allowed to enter a training without 7. the proper approval of their pastor. Each student is required to fill out an application.
